MOJAVE GREEN rattlesnakes are especially dangerous
to those suffering from respiratory diseases, such as asthma. Fortunately
these snakes are not plentiful. Every one we have encountered over the
past 45 years has made numerous efforts to escape, and has coiled and struck
only when molested. Special caution is appropriate as their venom is a
neurotoxin which may not take effect for several hours after the bite has
occurred. For the most part, if you leave them alone, they will return
the favor. Notice the ruler at the top.
